Great news: Cameron’s glasses came in early! He was so excited to put them on and see better. Now he reminds me of the kid in Jerry Maguire.
This has been a very productive weekend. I finished my 1st “official” piece of art. It’s a Zentangle chalice that I drew over the course of the week. What makes the art feel official is that I framed it (with mat and all) and gave it to my sister-in-law for her 40th birthday. It feels good to have completed that and on time to boot. Second, I planted our vegetable garden and some annuals too. It looks like Spring in our yard now, no doubt about it. I also finished listening to “House Rules“, my first Jodi Picoult book, which I listened to as an audiobook. While listening to this novel, I ran 3.5 miles, a new distance for me. We were expecting rain all day, so it was a bonus to get that run in before the rain arrived. To finish off the weekend, we watched movies with the kids. Cameron and Dad watched Star Wars and Casey and I enjoyed Snow White. Perfect way to end the weekend.
Up next: a more normal karate schedule for me this week, thanks to a later soccer game – not 8 AM like this weekend. Thank goodness! I am so not a morning person. Fortunately, the soccer boy loves mornings, so he was ready and energetic as usual. This should be a better week for Rob as he shouldn’t be working late as he did last week. A networking event is on my calendar this week too – time to drum up some more business.
Good luck with your week! Make it a good one.
